Financial Aid & Scholarships
At UNM, scholarships are traditionally merit based, and a competitive process usually accompanies the selection and monitoring of the various scholarship programs.
State, Federal, and institutional financial aid programs are intended to bridge the gap between the cost of going to college and the family's ability to pay. There are three categories of financial aid: grants, work-study, and student loans.
